AlloDerm and hernia repair surgeries

Posted on June 21st, 2012 No Comments

Surgical mesh products are often used in hernia repair surgeries in order to cover up the tear in the abdomen, or the part of the body where the hernia occurred.

Hernioplasty surgeries involve doctors replacing the protruding organ, and applying the surgical mesh product to the area where the tear took place. This mesh is meant to enhance the weak tissue in the area, and to keep the organ in place.

The surgical mesh, AlloDerm, has often been used in these types of surgeries. The use of AlloDerm has been linked to numerous complications that take place after the surgery has been completed. The side effects include bruising, swelling, and infection.

If AlloDerm was used in your hernia surgery, and you developed a serious side effect, please contact the AlloDerm lawsuit lawyers of Williams Kherkher by calling 800-761-3187 today.
