AlloDerm Attorneys
AlloDerm was first developed by the company LifeCell in 1994. It is created from skin tissue harvested from donated cadavers. Living cells are removed from this skin tissue. The tissue provided by AlloDerm allows the recipient’s body to begin growing new cells, repairing lesions left by severe burns, injuries, or surgical procedures.
AlloDerm has allowed many patients to successfully recover from a variety of treatments, including hernia operations and breast reconstruction surgery. Unfortunately, some patients have experienced painful and even dangerous side effects from these grafts. If you have been harmed by an AlloDerm hernia patch, the AlloDerm attorneys of Williams Kherkher may be able to help. Contact us today at 800-761-3187.
AlloDerm Complications
While side effects from AlloDerm are relatively rare, they can be painful and even potentially life-threatening. Between 2007 and 2009, 30 AlloDerm recipients reported problems such as infection, abscess, or the need for additional surgical procedures.
