AlloDerm used in mastectomy patients

Posted on October 19th, 2011 No Comments

AlloDerm is being used in breast cancer patients when they undergo reconstruction surgery.

Women who have undergone mastectomies to remove cancerous tumors are choosing to use AlloDerm for their new implants.  The skin grafts are made out of cadaver skin.

The doctors performing the reconstructive surgery use Alloderm for its elasticity and the flexibility to position the implant.

Certain recipients choose AlloDerm so there is a natural part of their reconstruction.

Although this is considered a good option for certain people, AlloDerm skin grafts can have serious side effects.

These side effects can be potentially fatal in some cases. Side effects of these skin grafts include discomfort, swelling and bruising.

If you have suffered a side effect due to the use of AlloDerm, please contact the AlloDerm lawsuit attorneys of Williams Kherkher by calling 800-761-3187 today to discuss your case.
