NFL player undergoes hernia surgery

Posted on November 6th, 2012 No Comments

Green Bay Packers wide receiver, Greg Jennings, recently underwent hernia surgery in Philadelphia. The professional football player attempted to play through his sports hernia injury, but he was eventually referred to a surgeon in Philadelphia in order to correct his injury.

The hernia surgery was postponed for two days due to Hurricane Sandy weather throughout the state of Pennsylvania. The surgery took place last Thursday, and Jennings is said to be doing fine.

The sports hernia developed over time in Jennings, and initially started out as a groin injury that turned into an abdominal tear. The receiver will not be able to play football for several weeks as he begins the recovery phase of his hernia injury.
