What is an abscess?

Posted on September 17th, 2010 No Comments

AlloDerm was developed by a company called LifeCell to create a skin graft tissue from a cadaver and strip the cells from it in order to repair an injury on a person. AlloDerm has been commonly used for hernia operations, but unfortunately some patients have experienced negative side effects after doing so.

M any have experienced

an infection with the patch and further surgeries were needed. One symptom that has been reported is the development of abscess, which occurs when pus develops in a response to an infection. Abscess is usually painful and is pink or red around the area. Antibiotics alone will not cure abscess,  you need to keep the infected area open to drain it.

If you have had a hernia-patch surgery and have suffered from serious complications, contact the AlloDerm lawsuit attorneys of Willaims Kherkher by calling 800-761-3187.
